Conference
The regional conference is held twice yearly, normally in February / March and October. It is open to all current party members on paying the registration fee, but only registered local party and council group representatives are entitled to vote. Members or local parties may put forward policy motions to conference through the regional policy committee.

Conference comes to Manchester
with
Vince Cable MP
Our Autumn 2008 regional conference is lined up for Manchester on Saturday October 25, 2008 - with keynote speaker Lib Dem Shadow Chancellor Vince Cable MP.
Other speakers already confirmed include John Leech MP, Lord Lee of Trafford, Cllr Jo Crotty (PPC Warrington South), and Chris Davies MEP.

The Regional Party Annual General Meeting will be held as part of the conference from 12.30pm.

Autumn Conference 2007
Autumn 2007 North West Region Lib Dem Conference was on the 29th September - a month earlier
than usual - at Winsford Civic Hall in Cheshire.
Keynote speaker was Lib Dem Deputy Shadow Foreign Affairs Spokesperson, Mark Hunter MP.
The earlier date allowed the conference proceedings to include a
hustings meeting where members had a chance to meet and hear the
candidates for the North West Lib Dem 2009 Euro Election team.
A packed conference agenda also included the regional AGM and top
party training.
