My Pet Junkie. Like all good things discovered by accident, but well worth it.
Client. Great old style electronica duo with a fine pedigree, and a finer brace of LPs out there already. City, the latest is the more polished.
The Postal Service. Another old style electonica duo, this time American. Give Up has to be the LP most listened to by me in the past few months.
John Foxx scared the hell out of me in 1980 with his LP Metamatic, yet appealed to the romantic in me with his not-a-hit Endlessly. Then he disappeared. Now he is back with new collaborators and various directions being explored at the same time.
Latest Happenings.
Glastonbury Cherry Popped!
Finally, after many an attempt, I got to Glastonbury. I wasn't washed out but the infamous rain storm. Though the mud on Friday and Saturday did dampen my spirits. I skipped many a band I wanted to see, and wondered around the rest of the festival and had fun! I enjoyed it, but seem to have been inoculated against all but the most extreme strangeness! Hopefully, see ya in 2007!
I'm currently looking forward to a second festival this year. The Levellers own Beautiful Days which looks fun and a bit up my street.
I also hope to live it up at the Carnival this year in Notting Hill. Well, its just a train ride away so worth a day out at least!
