Thank you for reading my Home page. Here are some things you might know about me if we’ve met, but maybe also some surprises:

Home:

I live in Walthamstow, on the London/Essex border, with my Korean wife Kwang Mi (pictured with me in the middle of Hampton Court maze) and our 2 children Bianca (b. Summer 2000) and Dominic (b. Autumn 2002). We use 3 languages at home: English, Korean and Esperanto. Kwang Mi speaks Korean with the children; I speak Esperanto; and between us we speak English.

I am now (May 2006) working as an Admin Assistant at an East London primary school, but I am seeking a suitable opportunity to return to IT, having worked for many years for the computer services company, Cap Gemini Ernst & Young.

My main expertise is with commercial applications using Oracle and C, and I also have experience of IBM mainframes. In addition, I have tackled a wide range of other computer techniques from time to time (in order to write this I have taught myself HTML).

Like many Esperanto-speakers I am drawn by languages, and have in the past also tried to learn Dutch, Lithuanian and Hungarian. All of these were abandoned owing to changing personal circumstances, but - who knows? It may happen that I will return to them again. As I write I sadly haven't made much progress with my wife's language Korean, as I am still daunted by the script!
