A new magazine featuring the latest
excavations and discoveries from around
the world, brought to you by Current Archaeology

What will the new magazine be like?

Current World Archaeology will cover the whole world, from the first emergence of man down to the present day. We will cover all periods and all areas. In particular we will be looking at the origins of our own civilisation, at Egypt, the Ancient Near East and the Holy Land, and Greece and Rome.

Current World Archaeology will seek out the latest discoveries from the palaces of kings to the workshops of the humble artisans. At the core of each issue will be at least three major articles looking in depth at a major excavation, and putting the results into context. We will also look at some of the well-known classic sites, and see how the latest theories and discoveries will enable you to visit these sites and look at them through fresh eyes.

But there will also be books to be reviewed, a diary of people, places and events - and we look forward to hearing from you, our readers, and will publish the best of your letters.

Already some of the major articles are taking shape and we can reveal some of the forthcoming highlights.
