Using FT with your Orange mobile and joing the mailing list

Unfortunately Orange appear not to like us using FT on their network. For this reason they periodically decide to charge for accessing the 0800 number. FT are well aware of this action and whenever I have noticed that Orange have blocked access I simply call FT from a landline and they immediately quote a new access number. If you would like to see the current charges for calls on Orange then take a look at the Orange Price List.

If you have a Nokia 5.1, 502 or 702 then simply program the access number into a speed dial location - I have mine set-up for speed dial 9 which logically to me means, make a call on an outside line (just like from a PABX).

If you would like to join the Orange Mailing List which is a 'digest' of all messages sent by enthusiasts of the Orange network then you need to send an email message with the words subscribe orange-digest as the first line of text in the message - leave the subject field blank. To subscribe now click here. The digest is invaluable for getting the latest info (and rumours) about what is happening on Orange, you will also find the dealers who can supply the phones at great prices but cant advertise their low rates.

On average you get about one digest emailed to you each day.

You can also read the Orange list via the web at http://www.findmail.com/listsaver/orange/
