Your on-line guide to the Fringe at the 1998 Liberal Democrat
Conference starts here!
The majority of Fringe events will be taking place in the
Headquarters Hotels, the Royal Clifton Hotel and the Scarisbrick
Hotel, to the East of the Floral Hall. Any venues other than
these hotels will be indicated below the relevant listing.

these lead to lively debates, and can often result in
surprising decisions! |
| |
 |

Some events are more formal than normal meetings. Even
so, there's usually a chance to ask questions at the end. |

 |
Annual General Meeting
Many Party groups take advantage of conference to elect
new committees and let new members find out more. You
will usually have to be a member of the particular group

Social Event
Conference is always great for meeting both new and old
friends, and there are always several social events
designed to help representatives let their hair down. |

Free Food
Events marked with this symbol have learned that the best
way to get people to attend is to give away free food.
This might be anything from a glass of fruit juice to hot
food. |
