F18 Election of Leader in the House of Lords
Article 9.2
After: 'Party's whip' (line 2), add: 'Its Leader shall be elected
as in accordance with the procedures for the Party Leader as laid
out in Article 10.'
In line 4, delete: 'for a Leader and'.
The current constitution states:
Article 9: The Parliamentary Parties
9.2 The Parliamentary Party in the House of Lords shall consist
of all members of that House in receipt of the Party's whip. It
shall be entitled to make such regulations (not being
inconsistent with this Constitution) as it thinks fit for the
conduct of its own proceedings, which shall make provision for a
Leader and a Chief Whip of such Parliamentary Party.
Please note: This constitutional amendment requires a
two-thirds majority.
