Access and facilities for people with disabilities



The Brighton Centre

Access to the Centre is via the main entrance on Kings Road (sea front). Lifts to the right of the main entrance give access to the first floor where the main auditorium is located.

Toilets for wheelchair users are located on the ground and first floors.

Telephones (card and coin) at the correct height for wheelchair users are situated in the main foyer on the ground floor.

Special locations for wheelchairs are sited in the auditorium on the left side facing the stage at the front of the raked seating. Please inform the Conference Office if you would like a seat for an accompanying person next to your wheelchair.

There will be an induction loop fitted to cover the stalls area for the benefit of the hard of hearing. In conjunction with the Sign Language Centre, sign language interpretation will be provided during debates.

The Stakis Brighton Metropole
(Fringe Meetings main venue)

Access to the Metropole is via a ramp at the front entrance for meeting rooms on the ground floor: Balmoral, Buckingham, Edinburgh, Gloucester, Osborne. There is level access via the side entrance in Cannon Place to the Clarence, Lancaster, Norfolk and Viscount Rooms. Access to the Kent and Surrey Suites is via a lift in the Main Foyer. The Chartwell Room is unsuitable for wheelchair access (although access may be arranged with prior notification). There is no wheelchair access to the Dorset Rooms. There is a toilet suitable for wheelchair users on the ground floor.

Parking is available in the NCP car park at the rear of the hotel. Charges apply unless you are a resident in the hotel.
