These are some of the libraries ( old and new ) in Trafford and particularly in the Urmston, Flixton and Davyhulme area

Awaiting photo of Urmston Library!! Urmston Library is on Crofts Bank Road at the entrance to the shopping centre and opposite the council offices.
The old Flixton branch library stood on the corner of Brook Road and Bowfell Road. It was replaced in 1999 by the much smaller Bowfell library within the Urmston Leisure Centre complex The old Flixton Library
Bowfell Library Bowfell library is at the entrance of the Urmston Leisure centre on Bowfell Road.
The Woodsend library was rebuilt in the 1980s after a fire and is at Woodsend Circle The old Flixton Library

  • Trafford Bibliographical Services division
The site was restructured in 1998-9 with the Davyhulme library entrance moving to the Old Crofts Bank side of the building Davyhulme branch library
Entrance for Bibliographical Services and the Schools library service This door was the old entrance for Davyhulme library and now it contains much of the backroom work of the libary services e.g. book ordering and distribution, schools libraries, inter-library loans, mobile libraries etc.
( It is also where my wife works ! )
