A Victorian Christmas

The Urmston Partnership organised a day of activities on 16th December 2000 based upon the theme of a Victorian Christmas.

As such there were street entertainers, fairground organs, swings and a roundabout for chldren, a Penny Farthing bicycle, poetry readings and a great deal of victorian-style clothing was worn ;-)

Shops joined in and shops entered into the day with offers like old-fashioned muffins

The fairground organ and music was provided by fairground and barrel organs...

Raffle draw The proceedings were completed with the drawing of a raffle and
with a final burst of sound from the jazz trio before night fell.
