3 Acorns Charity Eco-Audits

3 Acorns Eco-Audits have wide experience of eco-audits in the charity sector.

It was commissioned in 2005 to carry out an eco-audit of 12 charities in the non-environmental sector in London, including the sector's three major umbrella bodies ACEVO, ACF and NCVO. The project funded by the City Bridge Trust won a gold Green Apple Award in November 2007 at the awards ceremony at the House of Commons.

Our audits have ranged from sheltered housing units to community transport charities to a book-service for the blind. Donnachadh worked for 7 years in the sector for The Lord’s Taverners children’s charity and was a charity trustee for 12 years.  He understands the special issues that face the charitable sector and believes passionately that a well run charity also means an environmentally responsible charity.  3 Acorns Eco-audits help charities to do this.

“Thanks for the report on HCT, it has gone down very well with the senior managers and we are going to take it to the next board meeting. Unlike other work we have had done in this area your report has set out very clear recommendations.”
