On leaving school,
I enjoyed the chance to walk the catwalk
as well as the stage
but it wasn't until the early 70's,
after a couple of years,
living in Würzburg, Bavaria,
with some lovely people, artists,
that I was accepted into the art college
back home in England, in Chester.

While I was at college,
the old fire station in the City centre closed
and the empty shell was quickly assimilated
into a performing arts building,
where I enjoyed playing a part
of the newly formed Poetry Society.
