I look at developments in computer use
from a slightly different angle than many others.

Just as the keyboard, metal box and monitor
has evolved into today's multimedia machine,
so my experiences evolved through the introduction of the TV screen,
a remote control and satellite decoder into the living room.

I'm confident that the PC is nearly there
as the communication tool with viewing choice,
as well as do what the PC does best,
play some fascinating games,
sorry... that should have read "do all the office stuff".

I've used 4k, 16k, 64k, & '286 machines since 1980,
built '386, '486 & nowadays P4 systems.

I've integrated all sorts of leading edge stuff
into all sorts of homes.

Each of my clients seems to require something
completely different from their PC system
and it makes life easier for me if I can get it right,
or as near as this industry allows, at the outset,
and I prefer to be a bit picky as to the components that I build
into those machines that I sometimes build to order.

I know the learning curve that most of my people are going through…
I've been there :-)

E-mail and the Internet are now the prime directors of my development
as I grasp this amazing new media for communication.
