The Friends of Neath Abbey Iron Works is a group of people interested in and dedicated to the development of Neath Abbey Iron Works as a heritage site and visitor attraction.

 

Working to support the establishment of an Industrial Heritage Centre focused on the achievements of the Neath Abbey Iron Company and a Welsh Steam Museum and Study Centre for Industrial Archaeology, we are committed to bringing the iron works back into use as an industrial heritage education resource and tourist attraction.

 

The site provides a historical record of the development of steam engineering and its connection with some of the most well respected engineers make Neath Abbey Iron Works an important link to iron-making across the globe.
