Pensions – John presented the Unions power point presentation about the proposed changes to the TPS. Followed by a discussion of the campaign that has to take hold.

Workload Reform – Ian reported that cover supervisors are already being introduced in some schools. We need to discuss strategy in this situation. Likely that many schools will find it difficult to make that system work. Need info aimed at parents and governors.

Objectives – reduce workload

Decided to prepare campaign material for parents.

Correspondence

• Regional TUC and BTUC – Requests to distribute anti BNP leaflets in the run up to the local and European elections.
• Commemoration of 25 th year since Blair Peach’s death – Agreed to donate £100 or £200 if needed.
• Dennis asked if the Unity Committee (Unite) was active in Bradford .
• Anti SATs alliance proposing a Conference at end of May – agreed to give £50.
• Westminster teachers association asking £100
• Agreed to fund up to 4 delegates for the Black Teachers Conference.
