Pensions . A conference motion for this meeting but couldn’t be taken because inquorate.

£500 for Pakistan earthquake agreed at last meeting sent to Islamic Relief.

Victory for unions. Good for existing teachers but not for those joining after changes take effect.

New Management Structures - John/Jane

Unremunerated posts in primaries – Heads fighting hard to maintain them but we think people should be paid. RIG guidance suggests there should be no unremunerated posts.

Summary of position regarding new buildings.

Academies – Stuart

Reported on October Scrutiny meeting when it was confirmed that Rhodesway, CBC and Wyke Manor were all candidates for Academy status. The process of choosing schools is still unclear.

Black Teacher Conference – Anwar Sheikh, who attended as delegate, reported.

Special Exec Meeting – this was to ratify pensions agreement between public sector unions and government.
