Privatisation of LEA

Price, Waterhouse Coopers now to talk with us. Ian Stewart wants to renegotiate collective agreements. We are to meet weekly with UNISON.

Time Hales explained situation in Leeds. "No compulsory redundancy " policy has gone. Demonstration, 18th November, March and Rally. Rally 23rd November, St Georges Hall. Group to meet to organise campaigning activities Wednesday 15th at 4.30 at NUT Office.

Threshold

Appeal process now agreed to be necessary by STRB.

Class Size

Reduction in class size in KS1 and corresponding increase in other key stages.

Equipment

Demonstration of Union's lap top and Website. Also Camera. www.bradfordnut.org

NOF ICT Training

30 Hours of training in teachers own time.

Elections

Stuart Davies and Jim Cartwright won teacher Rep elections.

Local Elections

This year there will be an election for Health and Safety Advisor. Jeremy Gibbon will be President next year.
