The Retail Price Index, and the rise in annual earnings, are both currently running at 4%. Last September teachers received a 2 .5% pay rise, and are due to receive the same next September.

The NUT has therefore asked the School Teachers’ Review Body to re-open the question of what our pay should be for this period.
