British-Edu Trust, the organisation attempting to take over Rhodesway school and turn it into an Academy, has pulled out of the deal. The determined campaign fought by the staff and parents, often in the face of blatant intimidation from supporters of the planned Academy, has played a large part in this decision. The school is not yet out of the woods as we believe there are still plans to allow some other organisation to take it over – but this first success has shown how a good campaign can get the arguments across.
