Vineyard Visits
The Dulwich Wine Society has always been keen to see how wine is made as well as tasting the finished product, and have visited a number of English vineyards, St Georges, Tenterden, Nyetimber, Nutbourne, Ridgeview and Chilford Hundred amongst others.
The popularity of these visits lead to a successful trip to Champagne in 1999, where four champagne houses were visited over a period of two days. In 2000 the society spent three days in Burgundy, visiting a variety of vineyards, a stave maker and tonnellier, and in 2001 another three day trip visited the central Loire. 2002 saw us in Alsace, and in 2003 we visited the upper Loire. At Easter 2004 we visited Toro in Spain in conjunction with Vina Bajoz, and in 2005 the trip was to the Beaujolais, Maconais area. In 2006 we went to the Southern Rhone.
All our visits are organized by the society itself, and are designed to be self-funding.
Priority on trips is given to members of the society and their partners. For more details of the society and our visits please contact us.
