A message from a fellow Humpage here, calling from Bristol University.
It would appear that my family line originated in Bristol, before Joseph Humpage, my great-grandfather (I think) was thought by his family to have married below his status, and they dis-owned him.
Joseph & wife then moved to Sheffield, and then my
Grandmother (Kathleen Humpage) and her Husband moved to Kent,
had my Father (David) and my Aunt (Julia, now Mrs Gregurec),
before l, Oliver, came into being.
My father lives near Lincoln.
If any of this sounds interesting, I do have access to a sort of dodgy family tree of my family. It would probably make my Grandma happy if it could be extended.
