Dear All,
My name is Raymond Humpage and I left Lancaster, England 32 years ago to come to the other side of the world, New Zealand, with my wife Barbara and two children Andrew Raymond,and Karen Lesley Barbara.
I have worked for the Post Office, telecom engineering all my life apart from my first few years as a telegram boy and two years in the Royal Signals serving at "Catterick' camp and ''Gibraltar" in the Med.
We now have two other daughters, Beverley Dawn and Louise Virginia.

I am now retired and enjoy my genealogy and am just coming to terms with my computer.
This is a Pentium 75Mhz system with windows 95 and my genealogy software is P.A.F and BK5.I use Internet Explorer on the net but also have Netscape.
I have been interested in genealogy for a number of years and I am very interested in how our ancestors made their living and the effect that
certain conditions had on their lives at their period in time.
I have found that if one knows a little of their past
lives and any snipets,photos. etc makes it all that much more interesting.
My wife and I are most fortunate in still having relatives in the area where we came from and I can trace our direct decent back to "The Black Country" to 1745.
We periodically go back to visit and learn more of our past and meet more interesting people.
