LCC STEALTH TAX ON OUR CHILDREN’S EDUCATION TO RISE DRAMATICALLY

opping increase from £60 to £180 per child with a further increase of £60 the year after. Why? To 'generate savings'.

Kibworth Tip - local residents have their say

Residents may be interested to know that following our campaign Leicestershire County Council decided NOT to put the Kibworth site forward.

Other communities weren't so lucky however. Some of those who didn't have an opportunity to have their say are now paying a heavy price, but for the moment the Kibworths and Langtons residents who would have been directly affected are safe from this threat.

“We live in a democracy, and as such Cllrs should be protecting their residents and supporting openness in decision-making."

"I just hope that lessons are learned from this – on a personal level, no-one will shut me up and stop residents in my care from having a say on something that the Conservative-controlled County Council wanted to consider without even letting us all know."

Concerns raised at the meeting included:
In addition, several residents wanted to the County Council to be aware that they suffer considerably from noxious smell from the composting that takes place already and they are concerned that any increase would make their present situation worse.
