The Gallery - Picture 12 Whilst we try as an expedition not to produce a dependency culture amongst the people we visit it is difficult sometimes not to help meet the immediate needs of people. It is all well and good talking about developing the mind of people but it is not much good developing the mind if the body is too weak to take it all in. So occasionally supplies are distributed to local communities but always with direct liaison with local people and only in exceptional circumstances.
