The throttle goes both ways - but only one of them is fun!

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Bloody incredible! Just been out for a quick spin, despite the shite weather...

First comments: Power delivery, stability, comfort, everything else are just unimaginably better than the XS probably  ever aspired to. I haven't dared see what happens above 7K RPM yet because what happens below is quite enough for me at the moment, especially in this weather.

I did a circuit round my place that I've done on the XS before while shaking it down. First comment - I'm damn glad that Geoff fixed the speedo. My estimates were out by an order of magnitude - must be the lack of wind-blast with the fairing, plus the fact that the bike seemed to be almost ticking over at 40 - the pipes on the XS are (somewhat) louder.

Telling moment: National limit, car doing 50 with me following at a decent distance, nothing behind, long long empty straight ahead and bike feeling like it's straining at the leash. Quick shoulder check, twist of right wrist and it was like a wave just picked me up and threw me past him in a second. It was only as he receded rapidly in the mirrors and I was rolling off the throttle again that I realised that I hadn't changed down from top for the overtake...

I'm a happy man... just got to make sure that I don't stuff it into anything now!
