Packaging Details

[Original Personal Software Zork Image] The Personal Software version of Zork I was simply called Zork. It came in a plastic zip-lock bag containing the disk and a 36-page booklet.

The old "Folio" packaging of Zork I consisted of a blister pack (i.e. card with plastic tray) with either 5.25" disks or 8" disks. The only documentation was a piece of paper with the instructions.

The re-release of Zork I used the standard box format which consisted of a grey box with coloured horizontal stripes. It contained "The GUE: A History" by Froboz Munbar, an instruction manual, and a map.

The release of the Zork Trilogy included all three Zorks, "The GUE: A History" by Froboz Munbar, a zorkmid, a map, a Bozbarland travel brochure, a Grayslopes travel brochure, a stock certificate, and a letter from the Chairman of the Board of FrobozzCo.
