Outputs

SID allows you to generate many different types of output from your project database. These fall into 3 broad categories:

Pre-formatted outputs
- these include Logs, Sections, Graphs etc
Free-form outputs
- referred to as Queries
Database export.Allowing you to transfer data to another user or location.

Pre-formatted outputs
SID provides a large number of pre-formatted outputs.
The intention with these is to enable you to produce report-quality outputs with the minimum effort.
Most of these outputs are user-configurable.

The following classes of pre-formatted outputs are available:

• Reports
• Graphs
• Surfaces and Contours
• Borehole Logs
• Cross-Sections and individual Borehole "sticks"

You can pre-select groups of boreholes and/or geological strata for each of these outputs using the HOLE and CODE selection wizards.

Queries
Queries allow you to obtain virtually any kind of data selection and presentation of your project data.

Using Queries you can:

Select specific SID datatables specifying detailed "data matching" criteria between them.
Select just the datafields you are interested in.
Pre-select groups of boreholes and/or geological strata using the HOLE and CODE selection wizards
Direct the results to a:

Screen view
Excel spreadsheet
Word document table - Example image
Graph
Standard PC datafile (SLK, CSV....)

Database export
SID provides several methods for exporting data from your project database:

AGS formatted files
SID project data directories (folders)
MOSS (3rd party ground modelling system)
VULCAN (3rd party ground modelling system)
