Today's prices: Asda - 148, JJB - 242.5, SFI - 140.5, Richmond - 61.5, Delta - 104, Signet - 31.5, Iomega - 7.31, Photobition - 235, Tesco - 157.25, Lynx 164.5 Iomega has made a slight gain ($0.75/share on 300 shares). Dealing costs are 50% higher for US shares. Online trading may be a cheaper and faster alternative. Martin Ayub mentioned a service offered by Cellnet called Genie, which will SMS you the closing price of individual shares or a Portfolio for free. Check it out at www.genie.cellnet.co.uk Martin Ayub suggested buying back into Psion as profits are about to start flowing from the Symbian deal as the new products reach the shops. Neil (via Martin Davis) suggested the company Slug & Lettuce who run pubs under that name. Steve Walker suggested Ladies-in-Leisure as a potential future share purchase with possible a take-over bid. Paul mentioed Dixons as a share to watch given the sucess of their Freeserve internet service. Martin Ayub suggested Pfizer the pharmaceutical company, who have an excllent pipeline of drugs about to reach the market, the best of any pharmaceutical. company. Keith spoke about British Aerospace after weekend press reports. We didn't take a vote on buying any of the above, as more research is needed. Steve Walker requested a more structed meeting, with important information earlier on. Next meeting is on Wednesday 13th January 1999, at 6:30pm in TC7.
