Extract:- "We have established a specialist clinic for children and adults with velocardiofacial syndrome and the variations on the 22q11 deletion. It is our intention to offer a multi disciplinary approach. We have produced literature for families, and we have developed our own database for collection of research information. We have a specialist speech investigation unit and during our clinics, the parent support group have offered to be present to meet any new patients.
We welcome referrals to the clinic, either by the general practitioner or the hospital specialist who has been looking after the family. The clinic could be used either as a one-stop visit or to utilise the resouces available through the clinic."

Leg Pains Research/Clinic (Nene College)
Extract:- "A number of patients who have deletions of the 22nd chromosome have been found to be suffering from long-standing leg pains. These pains were investigated and treated, for the first time, successfully by our research team in a project that started in 1995 and still continues.
We would like to find out how many patients with deletions of the 22nd chromosome have leg pains.
We would be very grateful if you could answer six questions for us. You do not have to provide your name and address unless you wish to take advantage of our assessment and treatment we provide.We cannot overemphasise the importance of the few minutes you will take to answer the questions, and we would like to express our deepest appreciation for you co-operation.
If you/your child has leg pains we would be happy to treat and assess them."
