- What is parallax error ?
Answer An optic error found in viewfinder cameras where the
image seen through the viewfinder is not the same as that seen through the lens.
- How can you minimise parallax error ?
Answer Use the parallax correction marks in the viewfinder, or
use a special parallax correcting viewfinder.
- What is "hunting" ?
Answer It is where the autofocus system of the camera cannot
lock onto a subject. Usually this is due to poor contrast in the subject, due to very
uniform subjects, or due to low light levels
- Is one particular mode good for all subjects ?
Answer Well the answer has got to be no - or else camera
manufacturers wouldn't bother putting all those special features in. However, for myself,
my camera is almost always set to aperture priority and to autofocus.
