Introduction

This lesson continues our section on equipment by looking at underwater strobes (flashguns), and their uses.

Aims

This lesson will introduce to you, or refresh your knowledge of, underwater strobes.

Objectives

By the end of this lesson, you will be able to:

• Understand what features you may wish to consider when selecting a strobe
• Understand what options you have to power strobes
• Understand their underwater range limitations
• Understand where dual strobe operation may be of benefit
