Dekavur -> Geography
Last update: 2 April 2007
This page provides some interesting information about the provinces of
Dekavur; you may need to refer to the Maps
to see where everything is. For each province, you can find out:
- Name: The source of the province's name and its meaning,
where known.
- Population: In thousands, as of the start of 1312.
- Capital: The name of the province's capital, where its
Thünn and other Important Administrative Persons are
supposed to live.
- Other towns: Names of all the other towns shown on the
Map. Populations in thousands are shown for the most important.
- Area: In square kilometres, as of 1312.
- History: How the province came to be.
- Geography: A brief description of the province's
location and general features.
- Climate: The type of weather the province experiences.
- Language: The principal languages spoken in the province.
The echeaudes of the province, its capital, and some other towns
are shown at the end of each section, along with their tiées;
see Heraldry for details of how to
understand these. If you're interested, they were drawn by a Python
script I wrote myself, using clip art from this site; the results may
not be exactly the same as their official Dekavurian versions, but
they're good enough for here :-)
Athuncia
- Name: Astarien ath "sun" + uncia
(unknown).
- Population: 1257
- Capital: Athuncia (148), Dekavur's second city and one

parts of Mashkla and north-western parts of Valdaborga.

located in inland east central Dekavur and includes land on
both sides of the rivers Devri and Gemma. The only natural
boundary is the one with Mashkla in the north-east, which is
defined by the Athubierghe.
- Climate: Mediterranean to temperate. All parts of the
province experience rain in winter; dry summers are common in
the southern parts, while the regions by the Gemma receive

mountains. Temperatures are variable but rarely extreme, except
in the north where snow falls regularly in winter.

warm and winters cold. Precipitation falls all year round, and
the hilly north-west is regularly snowbound in winter.

languages are most vigorous: Genistien is spoken by 470

the characteristic mild wet winters and dry summers, which
