Some Resources I Have Developed (and borrowed ...) For FASA's Star Trek : The Roleplaying Game

Although discontinued, and generally vilified by the Net community, I like the game, it's background etc., it just needs a little tweaking that's all. (If you like the game, and certain other "dead" games then the Orphan Games Gazette at MC Creations is worth a look, particularly the section on Star Trek : The Role Playing Game. To that purpose, I have been writing extra material for use with it, particularly within the Next Generation Era. A whole bunch of this material probably infringes someone or other's copyrights - but as long as don't try and make any money out of it, I'm sure they won't mind too much...

So Far, we have available ...

• Revised_RPG_Generation.doc A Word for Windows 6/7 Document (64K - not zipped) which updates the generation of Star Fleet personnel (both Enlisted and Officers) to take into account the changes outlined in the series. (Coming RSN, an HTML version of this document ...) Some familiarity with the existing character generation is useful
• Revised_Character_Sheet.doc A Word for Windows 6/7 Document (9K - not zipped) which gives the extra skills etc. required by the above character generation system.
• Both of these benefit from having the following certain Star Trek Fonts available; Crillee and Final Frontier. Both fonts (plus all here) are Windows True Types.
• There is also a Stardate Calculator (57K zipped) I wrote in Visual Basic (needs VBRUN300.DLL) and unzipping. A little flaky if maltreated, but converts Real dates to ST-TNG Stardates and FASA reference Stardates.
• Additionally, but not required by the above, but awfully pretty there is Klinzhai (26K zipped) and Romulus (9K zipped) which are Windows True Type Fonts, respectively Klingon and Romulan.

• If you've got a Mac, then you might want a copy of THIS utility to convert between Windows and Mac True Types.
