Thomas Henry Neatby was born in 1883 in Swinton near Rotherham Yorkshire the son of Thomas Henry and Mary Elizabeth Neatby.

He was baptised at St Margarets Swinton on the 7th October 1883.

His mother died in 1890 a year after the birth of his youngest brother James.

Thomas Henry appears in the 1891 Census at 41 Wilton Lane with his Grandmother as a Scholar aged 8.

His father died aged 39 on the 14th March 1895. Robert Beaumont (who was his grandfather) was declared as his Guardian.

In the 1901 Census of Rotherham Thomas is described as 17-year old painter living with his grandparents Robert and Anne Beaumont and his brother Robert.

Thomas married in Rotherham in 1907, his wife is still unknown.

By 1947 Thomas had married again to EMILY FLORA LOUISE BEATON in Wandsworth.

Emily who was born circa 1884 as Emily Flora Louise Cox. She had two sons from her previous marriage Reginald Ernest George Beaton and Alexander James Frederick Beaton.

Emily died at 27 The Drove Andover in Hampshire on the 17th February 1959. Probate was awarded at the Principal Probate Registry on the 6th May 1959. Emily's will was written in 1949, and she left the house (27 The Drove) to Thomas. She beqeathed £200 to her brother William Henry Frederick Cox (of Victoria in British Columbia), the rest of the estate was divided between her two sons. The net value of her estate was £6353 15s 11d.

Thomas was described a retired signwriter when probate was awarded on Emily's estate.

Thomas Henry died in Southampton on the 27th July 1970 and when Probate was awarded on the 31st December 1970 at Winchester his address given was 27 The Flats St Annes Suffolk Road Andover in Hampshire. It indicates that he was also known as Thomas Harry or Harry Neatby. In his will written just before he died on the 2nd July 1970, he left a China cabinet to a Mrs Joan Combe of Twyford in Hampshire and the rest of estate valued at £500 to be divided between Mrs Hilda Scotney and Mrs Minnie Stevens
