We are continuously in the process of organising this information and rely heavily on timely information from you, the authentic source ! Apologies for any omissions or errors. Please pass on any corrections, viewpoints or additional useful information about the group ( e.g. planned meeting dates, specific topics of interest, news, information nuggets, joys & woes to share with other members or world. )
Send your contribution by email to us <swthames@downsyndrome.org.uk>. If you don't have email yourself, prevail upon your partner or a friend who may have it at home or workplace. This will avoid the errors & delays in us typing things in.
Please give the exact full text about your group that you would like to appear here instead of the present text. This will avoid any confusion. We will simply delete the old text in full and put in the new in full.
Please include full name & contact of the person sending the text so that we can contact you in case of queries.

Purpose of these groups: They have been formed by parents who live in a neighbourhood within our branch area so that it is easier for them to meet each other easily in small groups for activities, organised discussions or informal chats to help each other, exchange information and discuss any local issues. There are no rigid formal geographical boundaries so people join or visit groups that best suit them.

There are some internet / email Maling Lists which are good forums. See email details to join.
There is no localised Mailing List for Thames area. If you would like to start one please contact our web coordinator if you need advice or help.

GUILDFORD GROUP

DSA MORDEN Branch
This local parent group is well estblished. Phone for meeting programme

A GROUP FOR PUTNEY
Please contact Mrs. Ali Venables (020 8780 1853) if you would like to help her to form a DSA Parent
Support Group in the Putney area. Her child is nearly 2 years old and she wants to meet other parents of
young children.

UPS AND DOWNS GROUP ( East Surrey )
Downs Syndrome Learning Development & Support Group. This group of mothers in East Surrey & offers a
fortnightly get-together to share experiences, speakers, specialist therapists and play for the children.

DSA WORTHING Group
This Group meets monthly and has a regular newsletter.
