This is a discussion and news list with a focus on the poetry, parodies, music and similar work of Les Barker. Chatter on the list can be as silly or serious as you like but should have a close connection with Les and his work and not some lesser poodle. You can compare and contrast his stuff with Sid Kipper but if you ramble on about Sid I'll bite your modem. (Oh yes I will!)
You may want to post something not directly related to Les Barker but you're *sure* it will interest us. If it's about sex, you might be right but it's still "off topic" - so don't do it.
Virus alerts relating to Cutty Wrens, Lemmings, Gnus or Snails That Have Not Yet Arrived, etc. are fine. Viruses affecting computers are usually hoaxes especially if they say they're from Microsoft and if you post one to the list, you'll get one Jason of an Argument.
There is no need to advertise performances by Les unless you've found them missing from Les's site, www.cix.co.uk/~ackroyd/. Don't advertise anything else either or Quasi will get the hump with you.
This list is entirely independent of Les Barker. I did mention it to him at Sidmouth and he asked me for full details so he could avoid it.

How do I hear what's going on?
Just read your email as normal. You may find it convenient to filter mail to and from barking@netservs.com into its own folder if your email program and brain can cope.
How do I respond to something I just read?
Hit "reply" in your email program, type away and then Send. Check the "To:" box on your screen. It should say barking@netservs.com which means everyone will see what you say. Change it to the email address of an individual if that's more appropriate.
How do I say something?
Start a new message to barking@netservs.com in your email program, type away and then Send.
