At 5pm on 12 April 1997, Frontierland was closed to prepare for an invite-only party held for visiting celebrities, 1000 disadvantaged children and the park's 'twins' (babies born at the same time that the park first opened its doors).

Main Street remained open to party guests only for a special fireworks display at 10pm - and what spectacular show! More fireworks were used than for any previous DLP event, and for the first time they were launched from five sites to give a full 360 degree coverage.
The Chateau Fou in all its floodlit glory.	Even the shop fixtures are decorated in keeping with the Festival theme.
