In May 2010 Norman was appointed Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Transport by the new coalition government. His responsibilities include Regional and Local Transport, Buses and Taxis - including concessionary fares, Walking and Cycling, Accessibility and Equalities, Alternatives to travel.
