The Future of Residential Homes for the Elderly in Southwell
Southwell's only residential home for elderly people, South Muskham Prebend, will be sold at auction early in the new year as a vacant building. Despite attempts by the County Council to sell the Home as a going concern, offers from private parties to buy it as a vacant property were significantly higher. The Council has promised that the Home will only be sold once the last person presently living at South Muskham has been found a new Home. Negotiations over the future of the Old Vicarage Resource Centre are ongoing. |
