Whats this all about?
This is the recognition that we all have skills and that we can trade these skills with others for something other than money. Anyway it's a good way to make new friends!
I prefer to trade on the basis of time spent doing the job(s). We spend an hour on your job and you would spend an hour on ours.
Multi-party trades can be good fun but can be a pain to set-up. I have a dream to create a local community of trading time but I think it needs quite a large community of traders to keep things rolling.
It is possible, in theory, to trade time for goods, or visa-versa. A common 'currency' of trade (money) then sounds like a good idea and we start to defeat the whole idea! None-the-less we traded time for such things as Honey, Goats milk, Meat, Garden Furniture, Fencing panels, Holiday cottages to name but a few! In the last resort money always comes in handy.

This list is skewed heavily towards PC related items as a reflection of our work and hobbies. Twenty years in the computer industry does focus your mind quite a lot.
