AN OUTLINE OF THE HEALING SERVECE
AT SUTTON COLDFIELD FOR FIRST-TIME VISITORS

Our Healing Services are very simple and straightforward and a welcome is offered to anyone seeking respite from this busy world of what ever their religion or beliefs. You do not have to be a member of our church!

The Service on Saturdays starts promptly at 11.00 a.m.so please arrive early in order to 'sign in' Which merely entails entering your name clearly in our Signing In Book and, if you want the laying on of hands, you take the appropriately numbered ticket and place it under and to the rear of your seat in the outer circle so that the Healers will see it.

Also at the Reception Desk a Record Card needs to be prepared and you may be given this to complete your details, which, by the way, are kept strictly confidential and are locked away.

At Sutton Coldfield our Healing Service is a little different to some other churches. You will find two circles of chairs, the outer ones for patients; the inner, smaller circle is used by the healers. A carefully chosen hymn is sung followed by a prayer usually given by the Leader, after which the Healers move out to offer the laying on of hands as they feel impressed so to do. During this time calming music is played encouraging a quiet, peaceful atmosphere. Most people close their eyes.

The healers act as channels for the spirit minds who understand the workings of the body, mind and spirit. Your positive outlook and desire to receive this extra help to your own natural ability to heal yourself is essential. There is nothing mystical, no 'magic' no 'miracles' and no promises other than healing by God's natural law!

The Healers higher sensitivity will make them aware of when to move on to another patient. Their stay with you may last only seconds, a couple of minutes or quite a little while, it all depends upon those unseen ones who are using them. At the end of the service, after a closing prayer, the Healers will ask you how you feel and make a note on your Record Card. Usually prayers are offered for those unable to attend in person. A book is provided for names to be entered in, and 'Absent Healing' is sent out at prayer level. We know that it does work, but we appreciate your reports on their progress.

We trust you will feel the benefit at your first visit. Ensuing visits will strengthen your acceptance of the great power and energies surrounding us as we tread this earthly path, helping us physically, mentally and spiritually.

All the Healers at this Church have spent time studying their professional approach to God's work and have to be qualified with the SNU (Spiritualist's National Union) rulings and Code of Conduct. They do not receive any expenses even though some travel a total of over 30 miles each session.

The Church is not anxious to levy a charge but a fair, freewill offering is expected in order to meet costs such as heating and lighting, etc. This quiet, peaceful service lasts for about an hour, but you will take the healing energies home with you!

Q
Why does it seem to take so long to work?
A
We have, first of all, to appreciate that there are no 'miracles' either of healing or anything else merely the manifestation of natural laws as yet unknown to us - and, although there are many spontaneous recoveries, healing, generally speaking is a progressive process. Every act of healing conforms to the immutable laws of nature, laws which every facet of life, whether incarnate of discarnate, is subject.
