MEMORIES OF AMNESIA
Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh
August, 1991

Stephen Oxley, as a grinning neurologist, draws a disturbing amount of hilarity from minute observation of an abstruse topic: one's own brain dysfunction. He performs craniotomy upon a cabbage, makes vigorous love to a melon impaled on a broom-handle, and finally, ecstatically supervises (under local anaesthetic only) an operation on his own brain. This is Ken Campbell country, and you enter at your own risk.
