MILES & MILLNER
Pleasance, Edinburgh
August, 1991

Now big enough to afford spangly jackets and a backing band, Miles & Millner continue to play about with classical and popular music. Numbers like their savage Sondheim send-up demand a certain knowledge on the audience's part, but their music-theory lessons and Chas & Dave hymn medley have no such constraints. Their encore remains a ludicrous synchronised-swimming rendition of Handel's Water Music. Their growing success shows no signs of spoiling them.
