Paraguayan Elbows C.C.

The Paraguayan Elbows Cricket Club was founded in 1986 during the soccer world cup finals in Mexico. During England's game against Paraguay, Gary Linekar O.B.E. found himself in possesion of the ball with only a single paraguayan defender between himself and the paraguayan goalkeeper. Gary, with his usual presence of mind, chipped the ball delicately past the hapless defender and went to run past him. The defender realising he'd been duped by Mr. nice guy rammed his elbow into St. Gary's throat. John Motson's words echo in our thoughts to this day: "And surely, Lineker felled by a Paraguayan Elbow" - A club was born! The rest is history!
