In 2006, I became so sick of everyone killing each other in the name of their religion that I wrote this poem.  It might upset some people - that would be a pity and it's not my intention.  The words reflect how I have come to view religions generally.

Altarcation

          Ho!

          (Said the big man)

          My imaginary friend

          Is bigger than

          Your imaginary friend.

          Hes always right.

          I invaded your land

          Because he said I might.

          Your mother

          And wife

          And child

          Were killed.

          That was unfortunate.

          But collateral damage

          Is to be expected.

          Ho!

          (Said the little man)

          My imaginary friend

          Is bigger than

          Your imaginary friend.

          I will wrap myself

          In dynamite

          And explode.

          I will kill some of

          Your friends

          And some of

          My friends.

          Thus proving that

          My imaginary friend

          Is all powerful!

          And the

          Imaginary friend

          Of both

          (The one and the same)

          Did nothing.
