About me

My father, Arthur Cotterell B.A., U.A.  After early training under Tressilyn at the Regent Street Polytechnic in London he studied at Leicester, Hereford and Hamburg Schools of Art. He was a member of the United Society of Artists and his work was shown at the Mall and Guildhall Galleries, in the R.O.I, United Society of Artists, City of London and Lord Mayor's Art Award Exhibitions.

He was also a member of the Cantium Group, S. E. London Art Group and London Sketch Club. He was a councillor of Bromley Arts Council and a director of Chelsea Arts Trust Ltd. His work is in many overseas collections and he had many successful 'one-man' exhibitions as well as regularly exhibiting his work in the King's Road, London. He died on 8 October 1994.

Below are four examples of his work - click on each picture to view in a larger size.  My father told me that there were examples of his work on every continent except Antarctica - if you should have one or more examples of his work in your collection I would be grateful to receive a photo of it to show here.  Please would you contact me via my Facebook page by clicking HERE.
