First performance: Holy Trinity Church, Market Place, Hull, June 1983.

Work on this music began in 1982, and was completed one year and 2 days later on 15th March 1983. The work is a series of meditations on the six states of experience as described in the Evan-Wentz edition of the Tibetan Book of Liberation through seeing and Hearing on the Bardo Plane (more commonly known as the Tibetan Book of the dead).
