DINGLEYS in Sussex

This page is under construction

1. Introduction

2. Melers

John DE DINGGELEY was involved in a Feet of Fines in 1264-5, on behalf of the prior of St. John of Jersualem, for a messuage in Melers. I cannot work out where Melers was. It is interesting that a John DINGLEY appears to be acting as an attorney for the prior in the 13th century - at least two later John DINGLEYs acted as attorneys in the 14th century - see London Dingleys.

1264-5.
