1. Aged 18 years on St. Zedda's day, 18 Ric II [1394-5], son & heir of Robert. [CIPM]
2. Married Jane BROCAS daughter of Sir Bernard BROCAS of Beaurepaire and Mary DE ROCHES. [Hants. Visitation 1686] The Essex Visitation gives his wife as Jane BUERS (daughter of Sir Barnard) but this is probably a mis-read of the original.
3. Died 1455. [VCH Hants]
4. Will Robert DYVELEY of Wolferton dated 2 May 1455, proved 9 Sep 1456. [PCC Wills]

No absolute proof that he was Robert's brother - he might have been a son or cousin.

2. He may be Richard DINGLEY of Middleton, Kent who looks as though he is connected to the Hampshire Dingleys: "26 Dec 1451. Richard DYNGLEY of Middleton co. Kent 'yoman', to Peter DYNGLEY clerk, William LUDLOWE 'yoman', William DYNGLEY esquire, William Faulkener 'gentilman', Robert DYNGLEY ' gentilman' and Robert COLYNS citizen and 'coferer' of London, their executors and assigns. Gift with warranty of all his goods and chattels in the hundred of Middleton or elsewhere within the realm, and all debts to him due; and he has put them in possession thereof by delivery of one round brass pot with three feet." [CCR]

Possible son of Richard DINGLEY

I do not really know where to place Peter DINGLEY in the pedigree as I have no real confidence that he was a son of Richard:

Peter DINGLEY ?
1. I have no proof that he was a son of Richard - he might have been a cousin or nephew. However, it does look as though he is connected to the Hampshire Dingleys, as in the above entry for Richard.
2. He was vicar of Middleton (aka Milton) in Kent from 1450 to 1487. [Arch. Cantiana]

2. Married a daughter of William LUDLOW of Wilts. [Essex Visitation]

Stephen DINGLEY
1. Son of Willliam:
"14 Feb 1500/1. Thomas DYNELEY and heir of William DYNELEY, to wit son of Edward son of Robert son of William, to Francis DYNELEY and the heirs male of his body...
15 Feb 1500/1. Stephen DYNELEY esquire, one of the sons of William DYNELEY of Wolston, esquire, deceased, to Francis DYNELEY, and the heirs male of his body. Release and quitclaim with warranty of the land &c. specified ... above." [CCR]
2. Stephen appears to have died by 1517 without issue since his great grandniece, Elizabeth, was his heir:
"11 Nov 1517. For Geo. BARET and Eliz. his wife. Livery of lands, the said Elizabeth being daughter and heir of Th. DYNELEY and Philippa his wife; kinswoman of Anne MOMPERSON, formerly wife of Wm. DYNELEY, greatgrandfather of the said Edward; and kinswoman and heir of Stephen DYNELEY ...". [L&P]

Edward DINGLEY (-1485)
1. Son of Robert [Essex Visitation]
2. Married Sanchea. [VCH Hants] [CIPM] Sanchea was probably the daughter of Edward or William LANGFORD. [CIPM] [Essex Visitation] Note that the Essex Visitation has her name as Elizabeth, but there is sufficient evidence in the Rolls to be sure that her name was Sanchea. After Edward's death she married Peter CARVANELL. [CIPM] She died 26 Jan 1493/4. [CIPM]
3. Edward died 23 Aug 1485. [CIPM]
Francis DINGLEY
1. See above for evidence of Francis being a Hampshire Dingley. I cannot yet work out where to place him in the pedigree.
2. He bought the manor and advowson of Stratfield Turgis in 1505 [probably 1503/4], and as lord of the manor, presented to the church twice in 1505 and 1528. [VCH Hants]

Thomas DINGLEY (1477-1502)
1.He was the heir of his greatgrandfather William, aged 10 in 1487. [CIPM]
2. He was the heir of his father Edward, aged 14 in 1491. [CIPM]
3. Married Phillipa HARYSFIELD daughter of John HARYSFIELD. [Essex Visitation] After Thomas's death, Phillipa married John BARRETT of Belhouse, Essex (2nd wife?). [VCH Hants]
4. Thomas died 29 May 1502. [CIPM]
5. At his death he had property in Berks, Gloucs, Hants, Oxon. [CIPM]
